I am an award-winning part-time freelance journalist who currently writes news and features for the business pages of Ireland’s Sunday Independent, online Irish business publisher The Currency, and a section of the Financial Times.

This website is mainly an online portfolio for my work, but also features the occasional blog post.
With experience of writing on a diverse range of subjects – including foreign news, business news, politics and environmental issues – my writing has also been published in the UK’s Independent newspaper.
My previous work includes mentoring trainee journalists in investigative techniques, as a consulting editor for the Thomson Reuters Foundation, and working as an investigative producer for BBC Arabic in London.
In the past, I have also contributed to magazines such as Business & Finance, Irish Director and Village in Ireland; The Big Issue, Diplo Magazine and The Spectator in the UK, as well as a number of websites such as Media Lens and Media Channel.
